Modern Grodno

Grodno is one of the oldest Belarusian cities. Wise past and affable open-minded present are harmoniously combined here. Today it is a large administrative, industrial, scientific and cultural centre of the Republic. Located in the valley of the river Neman, the city lies at the crossroads of major trade ways, which has greatly influenced its development.
Grodno is remarkable for possessing a good deal of monuments preserved: Boris and Gleb (Kolozha) church of the 12-th century,

architectural monastery complexes of the XVI-XVIII centuries, the Old and the New Castles.
In our city there is a Zoo,  the Religion History Museum and Museum-Drugstore, the only ones in the Republic. Grodno citizens are proud of Drama Theatre and Puppet Theatre, M. Bogdanovitch memorial Museum, Crafts Museum, History and Archeology Museum.
There are 95 industrial enterprises in Grodno. Their trade marks are well known beyond the borders of the Republic, exported to 28 countries of the world. Mineral fertilizers, synthetic fibres, TV- sets, radioreceivers, footwear, clothing, automobile spare-parts, threads, leather and woolen-wear, construction materials, dishwashers, medical equipment, furniture, glassware, foodstuffs, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and other kinds of goods are produced here.
Our region confidently follows the way of integration, strengthening the political, economic and cultural ties with the neighbouring countries, those in the West and East of Europe. The municipal authorities are always ready for business cooperation, mutually beneficial for each party.
Socio-economic development and cultural life of the city are being constantly developed. Grodno grows and flourishes. It always meets the visitors warm-heartedly and hospitably. The city awaits for the potential investors as the spectrum for their activities in various spheres of life is really great.
