Passenger aviation in Grodno began to develop in 1944. In 1963 the eartht aerodrome in village Carolino near Grodno was built. The aerial communication was realized by planes AN-2, AN-24 in inside- the -republic flights. Airport in Obuhovo was put into work  in 1984. The communication  was realized on all-the-union flighst by planes Tu-154, Tu-134, An-24. In 1990 54 thous. passengers depertured from the airport.
